Centurion Lifeguard Club is based in Penyrheol Swimming Pool. It is affiliated to both the Royal Lifesaving Society and the Surf Lifesaving Association of Wales. Through its membership of these 2 organisations the club offers a number of award schemes including the RLSS Rookie Award scheme. In addition to the awards elements the club actively participates in a wide and varied range of Lifesaving competitions both locally and throughout the UK.
Pool Training Times
Training Sessions Swimming\Stroke Work Sundays at Penyrheol Pool Aim: To improve Fitness and Swimming abilities; develop Lifesaving swimming techniques. Juniors 17:00 -18:00 Seniors 18:00 – 19:00
Lifesaving Mondays at Penyrheol Pool Aim: To learn and develop Lifesaving skills including First Aid\Resuscitation and Lifesaving techniques. Juniors 18:30 – 19:30 Seniors 20:30 – 21:30
Beach Training Times
Beach Training sessions (in the summer periods) at Port Eynon Bay All Ages 10:00 – 12:00 Aim: To increase fitness levels; develop open water swimming and rescue skills; Develop craft skills including paddle board and rescue skis.
